Dr. Freedom Mazwi

Dr. Freedom Mazwi Is a Senior Lecturer and Postgraduate Coordinator with the Department of Development Studies at the University of Zambia. He has held positions as a Senior Researcher at the Sam Moyo African Institute for African Studies, lecturer with the University of Cape Town, Visiting Scholar at the Stellenbosch Institute for Advanced Study (2022). His areas of specialization include land and agrarian questions and the political economy of development in the Global South. Dr. Mazwi holds a Ph.D. in Development studies obtained from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. He is joining the Team as a TWAS-DFG Visiting Fellow.
