Nagercoil

Former Jaina Temple (Nāgarāja Temple)

Before its conversion to Hinduism, the Nāgarāja Temple at Nagercoil was a Jaina temple. A number of pillars in the pillared hall still display Jaina statues. Particularly prominent amongst these are icons of Pārśvanātha, Padmāvatī and Mahāvīra.
